Hello Friends,

I have always heard the horror stories of the summer of 1980. After the summer of 2011, I feel that I will be able to tell my children and someday grandchildren of this summer for years to come! Currently we are at 97 days (and counting) over 100 degrees this year and I can honestly say that I am tired of summer now!

We have managed as best as we can this year. Our cows have been grazing standing native forage and we have weaned early this year to help them out. Wells have been dug, tanks cleaned out, water lines ran all in order to keep things running. I know we are not the only ones!

The bulls are in good shape. They have adapted to the heat and now at temperatures that on most years would have them shaded up, they are out and grazing. The bulls in the offering are in good working shape, not excessively fat. You will not need to worry about turning them out and having them fall apart on you.

We are also offering a small group of fall yearling females. These will sell open. These heifers are out of excellent genetics and will make tremendous replacement females in your herd.

Our sale book should go out the middle of this month. Anyone needing one, please request one here on our sight or call and leave us a detailed message. We would be happy to get one out to you. We will also have one here online for your convenience. Keep checking in here and also on our Facebook page as I will continue to post more information and pictures as we get closer to the sale.

We will continue to pray for rain with the confidence that He will provide in His time. Also, prayers for all of you affected by this drought and by the fires. We pray for your safety!

See you in October!
